I was so so excited about this dress. I bought it for an event, but had high hopes of it becoming apart of my everyday summer wardrobe rotation too. I love the color, style, fabric, etc. It seemed like a bargain for the quality and design. However, when I bought my normal size, I found it to be hilariously too big so I sized down. (I had to order a new one also because Suunday doesn't offer direct exchanges, meaning I wasn't able to have a refund processed yet.) I do believe the size down is closer to how the garment's supposed to fit, but I think I might be able to also go ANOTHER size down. I'm really not sure taking a smaller size would help though because I think this dress just suffers from having entirely too much fabric. When it is untied, the torso is more of a drop waist, which means inherently if you want to achieve the look the model has, you end up with a whole lot of wrinkles and bunching and fabric twisted around your body. Now obviously I like this look — I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't! In fact it feels very Elizabeth Suzann, who is one of my favorite stylists. I definitely didn't expect this to be form-fitting. But for a garment that I was hoping to exist in regularly and comfortably, it feels like it requires a lot of constant readjusting and styling and fidgeting. I have some really wonderfully fun, tailored wrap dresses that aren't like this, so I don't think it's fair to just attribute this to the inherent style. Rather, I wish that this dress was better proportioned for an actual human body. If it really runs two sizes too big, I think that would be something helpful to include on the website, especially because I'm definitely not a petite person which means this dress probably simply would not work for truly petite people.
